Transforming this ancient site, charting a history of protest, rebellion and democracy
Churchman Thornhill Finch are helping to deliver the Heritage Lottery Fund supported transformation of Nottingham Castle.
The £24m project aims to revitalize the historic Ancient Monument. This will include an a new visitor centre building and improvements to access for attractions including the caves, landscaped gardens, and a refurbished Castle Museum & Art Gallery. The visitor will follow Nottingham’s journey through its history of dissent, rebellion and the rise of democracy to the creative modern city it is today.
We are working closely with the city council, HLF and the design team on improvements to the castle grounds, public realm and visitor experience.
