Clare van Someren

Associate

Clare brings a unique aesthetic to her work, refined over the course of a fifteen-year career. Her strong sense of style can be seen in all her designs – whether schools, public realm, retail, business or historic landscapes.

Now a key member of the Bristol team, Clare joined Churchman in 2017, following a period at Clifton Emery Design where she led on a series of complex masterplans. Before that she spent nine years at Macgregor Smith working across a wide range of projects - from education to parks and private gardens.

With a first degree in Textiles from the University of Leeds and six years in the London fashion world, she has a passion for colour, texture, pattern and detail.

Clare is currently leading on several complex residential, public realm and education projects – in the rapidly transforming Temple Quarter of Bristol and in Hackney, London.
