Ilona Feklistova

Landscape Architect

Since graduating from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, Ilona’s design approach has been rooted in evidence-based landscape design. Following her first degree, she spent a year at the University of Copenhagen exploring the transformation of post-industrial urban environments and the therapeutic elements of the urban environment.

Illona was also part of the EU COST Action plan team, exploring the benefits of urban allotments across Europe.  Both projects have given Ilona a sound understanding of contemporary trends and global issues in the profession, while also developing critical thinking and analytical skills.Ilona has since applied these principles in practice at Camlins, where she began work in 2014 as part of an ERASMUS Internship Programme. Here she has worked on a number of regeneration projects in London, a large residential neighbourhood development in Ireland, a post-industrial mixed-use development in Sunderland, and a range of small later living schemes.
